Maxine Leonard Obituary

Leonard, Maxine
89, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on April 22, 2011. She was born in Goshen, Indiana on December 22, 1921 to Hubert and Inez Lewis. She is survived by her daughters, Tina Gossen (husband Jerry) and Sara Hunt (husband Mark); and grandchildren Christopher and Rachel Gossen. She also has one remaining brother, Joseph A. Lewis and his wife Bea Lewis of Los Altos, CA. She is now reunited with her late husband, Henry, of 58 years. Maxine worked as a secretary at the Title Co. in Phoenix in the early 1950's, and at Nationwide Insurance Co. in Scottsdale in the late 1980's. She also served as a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She was a devoted, loving wife and mother to her family, and her love of life, sincere concern for others, and her warm smile were evident to everyone she met. A remembrance gathering will be held at the Gossen home on Saturday, April 30th from 11a - 2p at 9297 N. 119th Way in Scottsdale (480-661-4145). Arrangements entrusted to Messinger Indian School Mortuary. Memorial donations may be made to either the American Heart Association of Arizona, or the American Lung Association of Arizona.
