Roth, Earl D.
Earl D. Roth, 90, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. He was born November 12, 1920 in Forrest, Illinois to Daniel and Carrie Roth. He married Lorene Lydia Maurer on September 15, 1946 in Fairbury, Illinois. She passed away May 27, 1989. On October 27, 1991, Earl Married Marilyn Rose Weyeneth, in Roanoke, Illinois. She survives. Earl will forever be remembered by his beloved children, Steven of Scottsdale, AZ, Daniel of Mesa, AZ, Shirley Gillespie of Phoenix, AZ, Sherry of Scottsdale, AZ, Charlene Sanders of Vail, AZ and Todd of Scottsdale, AZ; sister, Leona Leman of Fairbury, IL; two brothers, Marvin of La Salle, IL and Leonard of Forrest, IL; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. An army veteran, he served our country during World War II, in India. He owned Maurer and Roth in Fairbury, IL before moving to Tempe, AZ in August of 1974. Visitations will be held from 4-7PM, Saturday, April 30, 2011, Hansen Desert Hills Chapel, 6500 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale and from 11:30-12:15PM, Sunday, May 1, 2011 followed by funeral services at 12:30PM, at Phoenix Apostolic Christian Church, 9230 N. 26th St. Phoenix, where he was a member. Church ministers will officiate. Burial will follow at East Resthaven Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship Group Trust Fund.
