Gustafson, Janice Swanson
Janice Swanson Gustafson passed away on Thursday, April 28th, 2011 at the age of 89. She was born in Minneapolis and resided in Scottsdale, AZ for the past 34 years. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Donald W. Gustafson as well as her three beloved children, son Kim D. Gustafson of Edwards, CO, daughter Carol G. Brooks (Conley) of Wayzata, MN, son David W. Gustafson (Christine) of Paradise Valley, AZ. She is also survived by her sister, June S. Marshall of Sacramento, CA, six grandchildren and one great granddaughter as well as many nieces and nephews; her family was truly the center of her life. She was much loved by all who knew her and she was a devoted wife and mother. Jan was the daughter of Agnes and Emmett Swanson of Minneapolis, MN and she was raised in Minneapolis and graduated from Central High School. Jan married Donald W. Gustafson in 1944 and they raised their family in the Minneapolis area. Her favorite times were spent with her family and she loved fishing in the Boundary Waters. She will be greatly missed by all. Services will be private and the family asks that memorial contributions be directed to Hospice of the Valley.
