Lester Potts Obituary
Lester Clayton Potts, Jr., 97, passed away peacefully in Phoenix, AZ on April 14, 2011. Lester had been a resident of the Valley of the Sun for the last eight years. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on December 19, 1913. He spent his career as a Millwright for Boeing Corporation. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 75 years, American Legion for 43 years and a member of the International Union, United Automakers, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America. Lester is survived by his devoted son Jerald (Jerry) G. Potts; grandson Gary S. Potts (Suzanne); great granddaughter Ashley M. Potts; Niece Donna (David) Ramsey; nephews Kyle Potts (Suzie) and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Myrtle L. Potts and brother Donald Potts. At Lester's request no services were held. Memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), 4343 E. Camelback Road, Suite 230 Phoenix, AZ 85018 and Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street Phoenix, AZ 85014. Arrangements under the direction of Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary.
