Martin Robbins Obituary
Martin Robbins, 77, passed away on April 25, 2011 after a valiant battle with cancer. Marty was a much loved husband of 54 years to Joan, father to Richard, Brycey, Marc, and Gary, and a loving and doting grandfather to Kierstin Rose Robbins. Marty was a very successful pharmacist throughout his career. He was very proud and honored to serve as a dedicated volunteer to S.C.O.R.E. in his best years after retirement. Marty was a very gifted person who accomplished all his goals and helped and touched all who knew him. A gathering to share memories of Marty's life will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona on May 10th, 2011 at 10am. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please make donations in Marty's name to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life and the Hospice of the Valley's Coronado House. Sunland Memorial Park and Mortuary was entrusted with Marty's care. Friends may leave online condolences for the family at www.sunlandmemorial.com.

Dear Joan, I met Marty 6 years ago at a SCORE orientation session. After the first meeting I knew he was the SCORE counselor I MUST work with to start my business. What a treasure, he assisted me with two business plans--what great business insight! During our sessions I could see the business insight also paralleled the great person he was. I very sorry for your loss. Mary was always fun to talk with. I'll miss seeing him cycling around the neighbor hood and it seemed we'd run into you at various resteaurants. I appreciate his long service on the HOA.

Dear Joan --
Marty and SCORE were to me one. He was my mentor. He introduced me to SCORE and throughout my SCORE career he was by my side. We worked together as he conducted -- masterfully conducted -- so many seminars, and on a very personal basis, he is responsible for my "haircut" -- or lack thereof. I miss him and I will always miss him -- he is and became a major and positive influence in my life.

Dear Joan --
There really are not words to express the sadness in my heart over the loss of your husband and my friend. You know Marty and I had a rousing and full relationship - a friendship that was deep. With both of our stubborn streaks we tugged at the friendshp but in the end, we always hung together pulling in the same direction for those things that we so passionately believed in for the growth of this community. Your husband, my friend, Marty, is sorely missed.
I send to you and your family, my heartfelt sympathy. I will never forget.

Dearest Joan,
We were so saddened to hear that Marty has passed away. We met your wonderful and beautiful family when we moved to Phoenix 37 years ago. Your boys were so adorable and your kindness, help and loving welcome has never been forgotten.
May the beautiful memories you have ease the pain of your grief. We are all blessed to have known such a special human being.

I worked with marty at superx.we had great times and lots of laughs.Marty was REALLY a great person,so sorry we did not get together upon his return to AZ.He always was a great family person .He often took me to the gun range ,olso fun .Blessings to Joan and the boys Ron and Ruby Green

We were saddened to hear about Marty's passing. He worked closely with us for the native american artists at the Heard Museum this past year. We were happy to know him as a neighbor and a friend. Dave and Mary Patino
