Glenn Smith Obituary

Smith, Glenn Guernsey
Age 83, of Vita Bella Assisted Living in Mesa, AZ passed away on April 27, 2011. Born in the great city of Detroit, MI on March 17, 1928. He was married to Shirley Fairbanks in 1946. They had three children. They moved their little family to Arizona in 1959. He worked as a heavy duty mechanic and as a carpenter in the construction business. He later worked for Motorola during the mid 60's and early 70's. Eventually, he partnered up with Dunkel Enterprises and had a wonderful career building mobile home parks in east Mesa. He retired in 1993 as a commercial real estate broker. He is survived by first wife Shirley Lumpkin, his son Edward Smith, his two daughters Viola Burke and Glenna Williams. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way. A "Celebration of Life" service will be held at Vita Bella Assisted Living, 239 N McDonald, Mesa, AZ on May 8th at 10am.

My Dearest Glenn,
I so sadden by your passing, I can remember our conversations about your family and grandchildrens. It was always the brightest day when you would walk into the clinic for your appts. You were so kind always asking me how my family was and my granddaughter. I am grateful that you were able to meet my granddaughter, she asked me who was that man that I was talking to, I reply my grandpa she asked is that my grandpa I said yes, just like i used to call you. I will miss you so much. Love Always Barbara Garcia. May God Bless you and your entire Family
