Tung Dong Obituary
Tung Kay Dong, also known as Tommy, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away April 30, 2011. He immigrated from Guang Dong Kaiting Chishou Niuxi Renanli, China in the 1940's. Tung Kay Dong was the proprietor of Tommy's Market for over 25 years. He has been an active member and a former President and Treasurer of the Chinese Senior Citizen Center. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly; sons, Quincy (Helen), Wilbur, Harvey, Edmund; daughter, Pauline; grandsons Galahad (Kiku) and Orpheus; great-granddaughter, Malena; and brother, Yat Kay Dong (May Huan). Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Greenwood Memory Lawn Serenity Chapel, 719 N. 27th Ave, Phoenix, Arizona. Families and Friends are welcome to the visitation and viewing at 10:00a.m., Chapel Service begins at 11:00a.m. followed by a graveside service. Please visit, www.greenwoodmemorylawn.com

Our hearts go out to the Dong family. Though we met Mr. Dong late in his life his values influence us daily through his son, our good friend, Harvey. It is an honor to know the Dong family.

My condolences To Tommy's Family. I was a regular at Tommy's Market when my folks needed or wanted something. Thank you for posting such wonderful photos. I remember Tommy' s Market and your family as part of my childhood.

My sincere condolences to the Dong family. As a child I remember going with Mom to Tommy's Market, the neighborhood store to purchase milk and bread. He was always friendly and helpful. Rest in Peace Tommy.

When I was quite young I worked at Tommy's store for 7 years and he treated me as one of the family. I share in the families loss and will always consider Tommy's Market as my second home.
