Rolando Tirado Obituary
37, of Goodyear, AZ died May 1, 2011. He was born August 25, 1973 to Rosendo and Carmen Tirado. Rolando served the Town of Buckeye courageously as a decorated Police Officer for the last seven years. He departed from the Department as a School Resource Officer, a detail he fulfilled with great passion. Rolando also served on the Department's SWAT Team as a Negotiator. During his tenure with Buckeye, Rolando was recognized on numerous occasions with awards and citations for his exemplary performance in various situations. Rolando started his law enforcement career in 2000 with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office serving as a deputy sheriff, followed by the Surprise Police Department as a police officer. His chosen career of law enforcement began after he was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corp, having served four years active duty and six years inactive. Rolando is survived by his beloved wife, Ana, and two beautiful children, Alec and Aiden. A viewing will be held 5:30 pm to 8 pm Thursday, May 5, at St Thomas Aquinas Church, 13720 W Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ, with a rosary at 7 pm. Mass services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 6, at St Thomas Aquinas Church, 13720 W Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ, followed by a graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery, 10045 W Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ. Contributions/donations for the family are being accepted at Wells Fargo Bank under Officer Tirado's name via memorial fund. Under the direction of Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel.

T, John & I have so many good/funny memories of you. We're still in shock & can't believe this has happened. You left a lasting impression on so many. I'll never forget when you introduced yourself to me just after getting done with ALEA. I remember thinking how nice it was that an experienced officer would talk to a rookie like me & also thought, man that guy talks SO FAST!! haha. You always had everyone rolling. John shared so many memories he has with you before my time, such as "Latin Lover." =) I'm so glad we both got to see you those last few times at the gym & when we ran into you in Goodyear. You always cracked me up talking about your "muscles" at the gym & how attractive you were.
Your smile in something that I'm sure will be missed the most.
This just isn't fair to have you taken away all too soon.
We pray for your family everyday T. Pray that God comforts them & wipes their tears. I too lost my dad at the age of 18yrs & still to this day it is the hardest thing to work through. My heart breaks knowing that now Aleck & Aiden will have to travel that road.

Rolando was a good man. I met Ro years ago in 95 and played baseball with his team for a couple of seasons. My condolences to the family ,and my thoughts are with you in the difficult time . Rolando was a great guy and a well respected man. Peace be with you and the Family .

From Arturo Delgado and Delgado family, I was a childhood friend of Rolando's at Sullivan and at Carl Hayden. Recently in 2009 he was an officer at Sundance and Youngkers and was able to meet my daughter, Victoria. My parents send their deepest sympathies and prayers to the Tirado family as well as mine. Officer Tirado I miss you so much! Im taking your death really hard. I havent stopped crying, you were always there for me. I could come to you with any questions personal or about school. Now who's gonna give me candies,hahah. I've always thought of you like an Uncle/Dad. My parents are also taking your death hard, we've all cryed together. When will the pain go away?????
