Richard Parker Obituary

Parker, Richard "Dick" Lee
78, of Mesa passed away on April 30th, 2011 with his children at his side and under the care of Hospice of the Valley after enjoying 78 years of life, family and friends. Dick was born in Cando, ND on April 3rd, 1933 to Rueben and Etta Mae Parker where he grew up on the family farm with his 6 brothers and sisters. After graduating from Cando HS and serving in the Army he moved to Arizona in 1962 after his marriage to Beverly to raise his family. After retirement from the Post Office in 1987 Dick enjoyed spending time in Cholla Bay Mexico, Flagstaff, and the family farm in ND. The last several years Dick has spent most of his time in Munds Park taking his faithful companion Molly on afternoon trips through the Forest and enjoying the beauty of the mountains. His love of dogs was second to none and those who knew him well would have given anything to be one of his faithful companions. He is survived by his Daughter Pam (Bill), Son Kerry (Heidi), brothers Bob and Frank, Sister Helen, 5 Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Ida Mae and brothers Ray and Hal. Hospice provided wonderful comfort and care in his final days. Per Dick's wishes a celebration of his life will be private followed by burial in the Parker family plot in ND. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to Hospice of the Valley.
