Peter Lopez Obituary
Pete Lopez, 86, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on May 4, 2011. Peter was born Nov. 18, 1924 in Phoenix, attended elementary and high schools in Phoenix before serving stateside in the US Army during WWII. Upon his return from service, he became active in the American Legion Post 41, and attended college before beginning work for the Phoenix Police Department as a records clerk. He retired from the City Phoenix in 1986 after 35 years of service. He joins his wife of 49 years, Anna Christina and grandson, Matthew Rogers, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his four children, John Lopez, Theresa Rogers, David Lopez and Jaime Lopez and nine grandchildren, all of who reside in the Phoenix area. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday May 10 at Greer Wilson, 5921 W Thomas Rd, Phx. A funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday May 11 at St. Vincent de Paul, 3140 N. 51st Ave, Phx.
