Margaret Nelson Obituary
Scottsdale, Arizona - Margaret R. "Maggie" Nelson died on May 8, 2011 at the age of 82 at her home in Scottsdale. Maggie was born on October 31, 1928 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Catherine and George Spear. She was the second of six children. She went to work for the phone company at the age of 16. She was a graduate of Washington High School. She married Garnold S. "Gary" Nelson on November 29, 1950. They had two children and lived in the Minneapolis, MN suburbs. They moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1984. She loved dancing and flying around the country with Gary. She is survived by her son -Gregory Thomas Nelson, his wife - Michele and their daughter - Kori Louise, and by her daughter - Paulla Ann Nelson - Shira, her husband - Mark and their children - William Nelson and Carolyn Ann. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 14th at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85251 (480-945-9521). There will be a small reception at Messinger following the Service. Greg, Paulla and all your families... I am so sorry to hear about your mother. My sympathies to you on your loss . It is so difficult I am sure to lose both your parents in such a short amount of time. We are thinking of you.
