Louisa Taylor Obituary

Taylor, Louisa B.
Louisa B. Taylor, 73, of Surprise, Arizona, left this earth to be with our Lord on May 6, 2011. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to so many. Louisa was born on December 5, 1937 in Plymouth, New Hampshire, to Stanley Newton Hall & Ella Ogreta Pillsbury Hall. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered as a woman who appreciated the beautiful things of life reflected in nature such as countryside, flowers, plants, wildlife and especially large animals like horses. Among her many interests, she most enjoyed spending time with her family, her adult children, their families, her close friends and most recently, her Art Club activities. She was a woman of strong faith and participated in Bible Study Fellowship and was active in her local church. In 1980, the mission values of God first, then family, then work - and the emphasis of enriching women's lives, prompted her interest in the sale of Mary Kay products for many years. She married Randall Pike in 1956, and was then blessed with her five wonderful children. She later married Robert "Bob" Taylor, in 1989, and they both shared her enjoyment of traveling, reading and attending Nebraska Cornhusker football games together as she was an avid and loyal fan. Her ten grandchildren, on the Pike side, and seven grandchildren, on the Taylor side, all loved her greatly and will cherish fond memories of their grandmother - affectionately known as "Lulu". Louisa was well-versed in their individual interests and eager to spend fun time with them. She also had three great-grandchildren on the Taylor side. Louisa was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Geoff Pike. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Bob Taylor; her children, Jackie Jennings (Gary), Jon Pike, Joanna Pike Caldwell (Scott), and Jim Pike (Stephanie); her sisters, Beverly McEwen of Kimberly, Idaho, Judy Gilmour of Sequim, Washington, and Deborah Laurie of Deer Island, Oregon; many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, May 27 at 2 p.m. at the Spirit of Grace Lutheran church, 15820 W. Clearview Blvd, Surprise, AZ, 85374. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions, in Louisa's memory, to the Spirit of Grace Lutheran Church or the Hospice of the Valley, both of Surprise, Arizona. Arrangements by Sunwest Funeral Home.

Dear Family of my friend Louisa, I want you to know that my heart has felt the pain of losing such a wonderful friend. She was a divine appointment by God to meet while I was in Ariz. I will always cherish the times we spent talking, exercising, sharing ideas for art projects and hearing from her the love she was given for her family, all of you! We have will not forget the beautiful presentation she made for us at our home on the day we married before we moved to Calif. Louisa's beauty was included in our wedding and reception.
What an awesome gift from God she as been to many lives, know she dances with the Lord and sits at His side praising our Father God. Can't wait to see her again in the heavenlies. Bless you, may you be in the Lord's comfort and peace. With love for you and Louisa.
