Jesus Aranda Obituary
61, of Glendale, AZ passed away on May 10, 2011. Born on June 18, 1949. Served in U.S. Air Force; Vietnam Vet. Retired from Honeywell in 2005. Proud member of American Legion Post 41 and ALR rider. Married for 39 years to his devoted wife, Alicia and adored father & grandfather. He was a classic car hobbyist, he enjoyed camping, archery, and cruising in his 1970 purple "cat" Cougar. Survived by wife, Alicia Aranda; Sons, Anthony D. & Augustin J. Aranda; Daughter-in-Laws, Tracey Aranda & Claudette Aranda; Grandson, Dominic Aranda; Brothers, Al Aranda, Peter Aranda, Gilbert Castillo, Arthur Castillo, & Carlos Rodriguez; Sisters, Ana Montoya, "Ocha" Vasquez. Preceded in death by mother Elisa Garcia and brother Orlando Valarde. Mass will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 8:30am St. Matthew Catholic Church 320 N 20th Dr. Phoenix, AZ.. Reception at 10:30am at Post Legion 41 at 715 S. 2nd Ave. Phoenix, AZ.

Dad,
Its hard to believe that you are not here and its easy to remember the memories. Because of you and Mom, Anthony and myself are here and from that you created a family. Teaching each of us how to act in life and to do the best that we can. From that your family of four has now grown and now another generation of you is here. I hope to be as good as a father as you were to us. You took the time to be there for us no matter the situation. So many memeories that I now have, but at the time I didnt realize the importance of them. Thank you Dad! The most memorable moment as your son was the time Dominic was born. You queitly pulled me aside and told me "Thank you". I asked you for what and your answer was "just thank you for making me a Grandfather." Well Dad I promise to never let Dominic forget who you are and how much you loved him. You are and were a great husband, father and Grandfather. Thank you Dad for being the "MAN" you were, cause not for that I would not have been the type of person that I am. Like I said before Dad, good or bad I am who I am because of you and I love you Dad and I miss you. I know that you are still around to watch over us. Rest now and know that your boys will take care of Mom. Love you Dad.

Alicia and family, Rae and I are so sad to hear of Jesse's passing. Jesse & I spent a year in Thailand together in the Air Force and I always considered him a "True Friend"! We have kept in touch all these years, but now again I ask myself why didn't we do more to see each other more often?? Our prayers are with you, and we are certain Jesse is in a wonderful place in heaven!

We the Velasquez family send our deepest condolences to you and your entire family. Jesus was a good man. Though the time that we knew him was too very short, we had a few good talks. He was a man with good sound advise. I will keep him in my heart and we will foreever keep you and your family in our prayers.
From the members of ALR Chapter 41 we will miss our brother. He is with our Lord and with out pain and sufering, he is at peace. If their is anything that we can do or help with please do not hesitate to call.
I wish to also forward the condolences from our other ALR Chapters that were unsble to make the services. I recieved many calls and text from other members of the ALR families.

We at post 41 will miss our comrade. he didn't "hang out" but he was well liked and respected for his contributions. I may not have known him long but for the time I did he made his impression on me as a good and just man. May he rest in peace. He is with the best now.

On behalf of all of us I want to say how sorry we are. Jesus was uncle to our kids and Alice was an aunt I remember all the picnic and good times with us. We got so close they put a gate into our yard. Jesus would tease dad all the time he would love it I know that he is now up there with mom and dad playing cards and watching the rest of us. you guys will always be in our thoughts and hearts. we love you . I'm so sorry to hear Jesse passed away...I always admired Jesse and his way, his kindness AND his cooking:) when we all used to go camping (way back:) and he introduced me to s'mores cooked on the campfire!:) I want you to know all of you are heavy in my heart, my thoughts and in my prayers. Not long after Baby Ruben died, a friend of his told me about meeting jesse at lowes and it turned out they both knew Baby. They had a nice conversation and Jesse spoke about losing his nephew who turned out to be Brandon's friend, Baby Ruben. Alice, Anthony, and Augie- I'm so sorry for your loss. Chewy will be greatly missed. There are so many fond memories of our families hanging out at each others house and our camping trips will never be forgotten. My Dad and Chewy left this earth much too soon! As many of you know, Jesse spent the majority of his working career in the Air Craft Industry. The last few months of his life, Jesse encountered some rough turbulence with his medical conditions. On May 10, Jesse made a perfect landing, peacefully passing away, boarding another express flight "Going Home" to be with his Mother and Brother. Jesse is in good hands, watching over all of us. Our condolences to the Aranda family May he rest in peace.

Jesus was like a 2nd father to me, such a kind man and full of knowledge and always had a smile on his face... I have wonderful memories of the Aranda family from my high school - early 20's days. I'm so glad I got to see him and his purple car not to long ago. Rest in Peace Jesus

I'm was so sorry to hear of Jess's passing. I remember how good you were to me when Pete passed. I know we haven't been in touch for a long time but every time I walk passed your old house I think of all the fun the boys had together and Jess coaching soccer with Augustine and David.
