Dr. Carney held great compassion for his fellow man and he loved animals. He was such fun to be around and was a great Chairman of the Maricopa County Democratic Party. I looked forward to the meetings and John inspired us to be active and give back to our community. I shall miss his humor and his wisdom. How lucky I was to have such a person to call friend.

Grandpa,
I will always remember your carefree spirit, zest for life and words of wisdom when I think of you. I always loved spending time with you. Thanks for letting me drive the golf cart when I was too young to be driving. You always made things more fun.

You are already missed by so many. I wish I could have made it to the services, but you are on my mind all day today. Living in Colorado, I think about you often. Soon I am going to make a trip to Greeley. I love you Grandpa.
Your granddaughter,
Kelly

Dr. Carney (I never could call him anything but that) was a great man and instrumental in my growth as a young man. It may be his doing that I am still such a rabid Democrat! His love of animals, people and the world were amazing. I will always remember him with the greatest foundess. I will not be able to attend the service today because I am recovering from surgery. Know that my love and prayers go out to his family as I mourn the loss of one who touched my life so deeply.

I noted with sadness the passing of Dr. Carney and wanted to express my sincere sympathy to his family. Dr. Carney was a voice of reason and an outstanding member of the LEMSC for DPS, hence his Lifetime Member status with AHPA. We thank his family for his excellent service to Arizona.
Steve Lump, Past President, AHPA & Ret. DPS Officer.
