Jeffrey Silmon Obituary

Silmon, Jeffrey Robert
66, of Peoria, AZ passed away peacefully 5/10/11 at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born 7/28/44 in Pueblo, Colorado, the son of Jess and Ruth Silmon (Wurster). He attended East High School in Pueblo, Colorado where he lettered in wrestling and football, graduating in 1962, same year enlisted in the Army serving in Germany for three years specializing in Physical Therapy at a military facility. After discharge from the military, he moved to Southern California receiving an AA degree in Respiratory therapy from El Camino College in CA in 1971 which lead to a long career of caring for patients' respiratory needs. Jeff left the Hospital briefly to teach Respiratory Therapy in 1977-1979 at the University of Southern Colorado. Since childhood dancing has been his lifelong passion earning him countless awards in dance competitions, leading to simultaneous careers in entertainment as a choreographer, and master of ceremonies for dance competitions and events. Jeff met Janet House in Los Angeles 1985 and married in August of 1990. He is survived by wife, Janet, and siblings Janice Smallwood, and Bruce Silmon, three sons from previous relationships Bill, Paul, and James, multiple nieces, a great niece, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Private services will be held in Hermosa Beach, California. Jeff thank-you for enriching all of our lives, we love you.
