Gloria Weiss Obituary
passed away on May 10, 2011 in Sun City West, Arizona where she resided with her beloved husband of 36 years, Gilbert Weiss. She was 74 years old. Gloria was born in Philadelphia on June 30, 1936. She attended Indiana University, graduating with a degree in education. She loved and lived life to its fullest and was an avid duplicate bridge player. Gloria touched the lives of so many with her radiant smile, elegant style, and incredible generosity. Gloria will be missed by so many and forever remembered by her beloved husband, Gilbert Weiss, her devoted sister Sherry and brother-in-law Maurice Gelb of Surprise, AZ, nephew David Gelb of Philadelphia, PA, niece Audrey Gelb of Studio City, CA, beloved daughter Ruthann and son-in-law Stephen Robinson of Los Angeles, CA, and stepchildren; Tracey Weiss and Husband Roger Desmond of West Hartford, CT, Charles and Wife Denise Weiss of Indian Rocks Beach, FL, Jack and Wife Marylou Weiss of Philadelphia, PA, treasured grandchildren Bodhi Blu, Stephen, Annie, Jessica and Alex, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know her. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service for Gloria Weiss on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at 10am at Temple Beth Emeth, 13702 W. Meeker Blvd, Sun City West, AZ 85375. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Hadassah, The Women's Zionist Organization of America, 50 West 58th Street, New York, NY 10019.
