Neil Sowden Obituary
Age 79 on Thursday, May 12, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer, of Pittsburgh/Phoenix. Former husband of Janet Sowden; father of Karen Brooks, Nadya Wirlo, Barbara Davis and Jennifer Ober; grandfather of Brittany, Hanna, Andrew, Constantyn, Christian, and Jackson; brother of Mary, Midge, Lucille and Fred. Friends will be received Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Bock Funeral Home, LTD., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA, where a memorial service will be held on Sunday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shaler VFW Post 9199. Neal was a mentor and friend for many years at AZ State Fund. His love for life and friends will be missed, but never forgotten....My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family.

I worked with Neil for 25 years at the State Fund. I remember his as a kind and generous person. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. We will all miss him.
