Bruce Hodges Obituary

Hodges, Bruce A.
died the evening of Wednesday, May 4th just six short months after being diagnosed with cancer. Bruce was an employee of Qwest Communications and a member of CWA Union 7019. Born in Norwalk, CT, Bruce is survived by his wife Grace Calise of Westport, CT, and two beautiful children - daughter Caitlin and son Nicholas, all currently residing in Mesa. He also is survived by his parents, Sheila and Jerry Hodges, 2 brothers, 1 sister and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, May 16, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Mortuary 1562 E. Baseline Rd., Mesa, AZ 85204. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church 1534 N. Recker Rd., Mesa, AZ 85205 with interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has designated a fund for the education of Caitlin and Nicholas Hodges. Contributions to this fund can be made at Wells Fargo Bank with reference to account number 7143334030. Arrangements entrusted to Queen of Heaven Mortuary.

Grace, Caitlin and Nick, Hodges and Calise family we are sorry for your loss.

Bruce was one of the nicest men I have ever met, Since the first time I meet him, Grace I think it was in South Carolina in 1992 you guys were going to the race ) I dont think I ever heard him say a negative word about anything or anybody, We both enjoyed watching and talking a little NASCAR ... Ironcially the race is on as I type this, just reminder Bruce has touched all of us in so many ways..
