Toby lived across the street when I was young. My brother was winning in a game of water wars one summer day. Toby saw that I was getting drenched and came over and poured a bucket of water on my brother. Oh thank you so much! It was great memory, in a great neighborhood with great neighbors.

I never met Toby. I never met her mom, but I knew them both. Letters and emails and an occasional phone call bound me to these lovely ladies even more than the blood we share. I will miss Toby. I'd like to hear from one of her kin, but know not how to reach them. A sad message was left on my answering machine by Terry. I wish he'd call again. She was a special lady.
