I am saddened by the news of Barb's passing. My deepest sympathy goes out to Joe and all of Barb's loving family. I will remember her quick wit and laughter and how she always did such nice things for me when I worked at Aliante.

Barb always had a smile on her face and a good joke to share. She was never afraid to pitch in and help out and she will be missed at our big 4th of July celebration. I know how much you meant to each other and want you to know that we are all praying for you, Joe, and her family.

I'm not sure that reality has set in just yet. I keep remembering a time mom and I visited Lora. We were sleeping on the pull-out couch together and she was making me watch "the Golden Girls"...long after they were still not cool to watch. I have no idea what we started laughing about, but we just kept laughing! And laughing and laughing. You know the kind - stomach hurting, tears flowing, can't look at each other kind of laugh.
I know I miss you - I know I love you. Most of all, I am sad for the lost dreams that I had for the future. As the saying goes, "life is what happens while you are making other plans". Rest in peace and I will be with you again another day.
