Alfred Rubio Obituary
of Glendale, Arizona, passed away May 10, 2011 at the age of 88. He was born in Oxnard, CA, and moved to Arizona in 1987. He was a veteran of WW II, 280th Field Artillery Battalion. He worked as a construction foreman in the telecommunications industry. He is survived by and will be missed by his loving children Sylvia Alvarez, Alfred Rubio, Jr. Lorraine Gleason, Rebecca Barron, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Community Church of Joy, 21000 N. 75th Ave., Glendale, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014. Arrangements by Hansen Arrowhead Funeral Center.

The greatest Joy and memory of our time together was when you sealed your heart and mind to JESUS at Promise Keepers back in 1997. My peace is knowing that you are written in the Lambs Book of Life and are with Jesus now.Our seperation is only for a short time. Grandpa, I will never forget all the wonderful memories we've shared together, from you sharing your whiskey (your "cure all" remedy) to seeing who can eat the most chili peppers!
