Joyce Saewert Obituary

Saewert, Joyce M.
Joyce May Saewert, beloved mother and grandmother of Scottsdale, Arizona entered into life eternal on April 26, 2011 surrounded by love and with family by her side. She was 82 years old. In 2004, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 54 years, Daniel R. Saewert. She is reunited with Danny and will never have to say goodbye again. Her talents generated from a heart of giving and a love and deep devotion to her family. A long time resident of Scottsdale, Joyce moved here from Milwaukee, WI in 1956 with her husband and young family. While raising her three children, Joyce dedicated years of volunteer service to the Scottsdale Healthcare Auxiliary and the Rocking Grannies volunteer program at another area hospital. After raising her children, Joyce joined the Granny Company and turned her love of children into a satisfying career. She is survived by her children Mark Saewert (Dorothy) of Flemington, NJ; Karen Saewert and Cindy Cruz of Phoenix, AZ; David Saewert (Patty) of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren Jacob Saewert (Kristina) of San Diego, CA; Michel Saewert of Philadelphia, PA; Amanda Saewert and Stephen Saewert of Chandler, AZ; and sisters Marilyn Brown and Ruth ("Pat") Kartes of Wisconsin. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 3257 East University, Mesa, AZ 85213. A private cremation Commitment Service was held May 6. Messinger Mortuary handled the personalized, caring, professional and dignified arrangements. The family wishes to express their thanks for the generous outpouring and comforting support provided by prayers, cards, e-mails, call, hugs, kind words, shared thoughts and personal stories and memories. Appreciation is extended to the professional staff and caregivers of Brighton Gardens of Scottsdale who accepted Mom into their care and were rewarded with what Mom was able to give back in spirit and by her doing her best to courageously make efforts to regain health. She is always near, always loved, and forever in our hearts until we see her again. Private and public condolences may be sent by visiting http://messingermortuary.com/

There is a theory that when the people with whom we are closest leave this world and go to their final reward, they
become part of the little voice that helps to guide us in our choices we make and the
paths we take. with these little voices, we create a link to
those we cherish alive in our heart.
I hope to hear little
voices that can bring comfort thru the tears.
