Ronan Thompson Obituary
3, of Phoenix passed away on May 9, 2011. Ronan Sean Thompson left just as he arrived, happy and peaceful in his Mother's arms. Always with his chin held high, Ronan bravely fought Neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer, for the past nine months. He fought with dignity and pride and didn't give up until his mother finally told him it was time to let go. He was taken much too soon from all of us, but we will carry on his name for the rest of our lives and never forget his beautiful blue eyes and infectious giggle. He is a proud, strong, lasting member of the Thompson family. Ronan is the son of Woody and Maya Thompson and brother to Liam and Quinn Thompson. Grandson to Kay and Charlie Thompson, Jim and Lynn Stephens and Stephen Weedman. He is the cousin to many, friend to all, and is now the brightest star in the sky. Ronan's memorial service will be held Sunday, May 15, 2011 in a private service. In lieu of flowers or gifts, we are asking that you each release a balloon in his honor at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday to join our family in remembering Ronan. Donations may also be made to The Ronan Thompson Foundation.

I´m only 9 months older than you so at the time I wouldn´t have been able to understand the situation let alone be as strong as you. Your star shines so brightly in the sky each and every night. I don't know what to say. I never met Ronan, I was very young when all of this happened, about a year younger than Ronan. Even though I never met him, his memory is something that I cannot shake. I don't want to forget. I want to remember the boy with beautiful blue eyes. I want to remember the boy who loved everyone. The boy who everyone could not help but to fall in love with. He feels like a friend to me. It has been 11 years, and I never met him. I only found out about him a little less than a year ago. But I can't help but feel that I have lost a friend. My heart aches for his family. I am so sorry.

I am so sorry. I know apologies won't bring him back, but I just want you to know I am sorry for his death. I've read your blog, articles about him.. I am thirteen years old and I have a four-year-old brother - I can't imagine if he had cancer, and I can't imagine how you feel - but I can understand that it is SO difficult. So freaking difficult. I miss Ronan, and I didn't even know him. I am donating to the Ronan Thompson fund as soon as I get home from school.
I don't know what to say, except THRIVE. You can do it. It'll get easier. Don't forget him, but remember his happy times. Remember his happy self, and remember his death. I feel for you, and I'm going to donate as soon as I get a job (hopefully soon). I won't forget Ronan.

Ronan :) I have just now been reading about your wonderful short life on your momma blog. I heard your name for the first time when Taylor Swift sang her beautiful song. This week alone I started reading your mommas blog from the very begining. You have one strong and loving family. Ronan~ I too have lived in Phoenix for over 12 years and up until I heard Taylor's song I learned of you and even though this is the first I've heard of you.. Ronan, I have a little boy that was born just after you were. You are one adorable little boy and my heart really goes out to your momma. I don't know you but I have been crying ever since I saw Taylor's video and song she made for you. Not just crying, sobbing uncontrollably actually ever since. And I agree with you that you have the best family ever! Your parents are the bravest and your brothers are the most lovable. I now know why you are such a sweet angel, it's because of the unconditional love you got from your family. You know what baby, my mom has cancer too. I hate cancer very much. All of us does. It's very painful for a daughter to see her mom suffering. But you know what, it's more painful for a mother to see her child in pain. That's why I salute your mom for being your superhero. Your mom is now my inspiration to be a superhero in my own little ways also. Of course Ronan, thank you for being so strong, for being a fighter. You are the greatest rockstar! You rock, Ronan!
