Dagras, George W.
George William Dagras 84 passed away on May 2, 2011 in Mesa, AZ. Mr. Dagras, a sales manager in the transportation industry was born in Chicago, Illinois and was a die hard Cubs fan and a US Air Force veteran of WWII. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Jennie Dagras, brothers Jim and Bob Dagras, he is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Polly Dagras, sister Laverne Dagras Levine (Stephen), nephews Anthony and Chris, niece Maude (Rick), great nieces Christina and Molly. A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 10:00 am Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at All Saints Catholic Church in Mesa with a reception to follow. Arrangements were handled by Mountain View Funeral Home (480) 832-2850; In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MARC Centers 924 N. Country Club Drive Mesa, AZ or Hospice of the Valley 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014

My husband (Don Nicolaus) and I worked with George at Lifschultz many, many years ago and socialized somewhat also. Too bad we did not know he was even in AZ. He was fun to be with when we were all many years younger. My sympathy is with you. Marian (Rosenthal) Nicolaus

Ah, those were the days, dear friends.
The good times we shared at Frank Larsen's Lakeview Supper Club; George's parents 50th anniversary party; and the night of the flat tire on your car when I tried so hard to convince George it was no big deal--it was only flat on the bottom.
Eternal happiness grant him, Oh God,
and Peace be with you, dear Polly.
