Edwin Phillips Obituary
87, of Glendale died peacefully in his home, April 27, 2011. Born June 16, 1923 in Kent, Ohio to Jacob C. and Hattie Bird (Wilmoth) Phillips. He was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran. Married his love Gloria June Neiswanger on Aug. 11, 1945. They moved from Ohio to Arizona in 1958. He worked as a machinist for Motorola and retired from Garrett-AirResearch. During retirement Ed and June traveled the U.S. full time RVing. He is survived by his 6 children, 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 10 great great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of over 63 yrs., Gloria June Phillips (1927-2009), and 2 grandsons, Jason Christopher Vodika (1974-1991) and Sgt. John "Kyle" Daggett, (1986-2008) U.S. Army Airborne Ranger. A memorial service will be held Sat. May 21, 2011, 2:00 pm at the Glencroft Auditorium, 8641 N. 67th Ave. Glendale, AZ 85302. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to: Save The P.T. Boat, Inc. P.O. Box 13422, Portland, OR 97213, or Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix, AZ. My deepest sympathy in the loss of this wonderful father, friend. I had the pleasure of visiting with him a few months back. Always had a story and a smile. Nice man.

It is with my deepest sympathy that I express these feelings. Nothing words can say, nothing a friend could do, could make up for the passing of one so dear to you. But it may bring some measure of comfort and relief to know that sympathetic thoughts are with you and your family in your grief. May the comfort of the Lord Jesus, bring peace to your hearts now and through the days ahead. May your tears of sadness turn to smiles as you remember the happier times shared with your Father?
Ed and worked together for many years. He was a good man.

Ed and I worked together at Aireaearch in the late 80's. He was great to work with and was a wonderful person. He made my husband and I an afgan for our wedding gift in 1989...we still use it. I am very sorry for your loss.
