Mona Markie Obituary
78, of Chandler, AZ passed away on May 15, 2011 with her family at her side. Born August 14, 1932 in Caribou, ME, she spent most of her years in E. Millinocket, ME with husband Arthur (deceased) and three boys, Gary, Tracy & Craig. She is also survived by five grandchildren & three great-grandchildren. A school teacher for 35 years, she inspired students first as a primary school teacher and later as a talented art teacher. She enjoyed doing arts & crafts as a hobby and took great pleasure in sharing her work as gifts. After retiring, Mona moved to Arizona to be near family. She loved animals & especially her two cats. Travel and looking at scenery were among her favorite things to do. Mona became a dedicated Suns fan, never missing an opportunity to watch them play. Services will be held at Valley of the Sun Mortuary in Chandler, AZ on Friday, May 20th at 3PM. Educator, artist, Mom; she touched many lives and was loved by all who knew her.
