Harry Heppe Obituary

Heppe, Harry "Bing"
age 81, of Scottsdale, AZ died peacefully in hospice care on May 11, 2011. Born July 8, 1929 in Hartford, WI, the sixth of eight children of Gladys and Harry Heppe. Close family called him "Bing" for his vocal talents. Bing graduated from Hartford High School in 1947. Graduating the University of Wisconsin, Madison, he did graduate studies to accomplish Juris Doctorate before his service in the Air Force. He retired from the Arizona Game and Fish Department. He is survived by his sister, Mary Heppe of Scottsdale and his brother, Tom Heppe of Chandler. Four of his 18 nieces and nephews were at his bedside. Bing was an avid tennis player, with doubles partners, until last year. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers, the Wisconsin Badgers and the St. Louis Cardinals. His loyal support to a large and loving family will remain with us all. A graveside service is scheduled at 10:00am on Monday, May 23, 2011 at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th Street, in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, the family requests support to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society: www.lls.org .
