Jerry Oden Obituary
73, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Jerry was born in Logansport, LA on December 3, 1937. A talented interior designer, he operated Jerry D. Oden Interiors in Dallas, Texas, from 1969 to 1986 with his partner, Donald Roth. The two later moved to Arizona and established Dean Warren, an interior design trade showroom in 1987. The business remains in the family. Jerry was an avid reader who enjoyed living large, spending money and drinking wine. He also enjoyed cooking, traveling and his Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Jerry is survived by his long-time partner, Donald Roth, Sons M. Lee Oden (Carey), M. Blair Oden (Anne), and daughter, Caroline Oden Wylie (Robert), and 11 grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, May 21st at 10:00 a.m., Paradise Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 9300 E. Shea Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the Arizona Humane Society, 1521 W. Dobbins Road., Phoenix, AZ 85041, www.azhumane.org . Arrangemetns entrusted to Messinger Indian School Mortuary.

I remember Jerry with fond thoughts of our time spent with Jerry and Don with the parties and trips we took. he is with me forever. sad that he is gone.

I never had the pleasure of getting to know Jerry but I do know without question that he raised three of the finest kids on this planet. I know he must've been so very proud of each of them. His legacy undoubtedly will "live large" through Lee, Blair and Caroline for many years to come. May he rest in peace.
