Ruth Martorelli Obituary

Martorelli, Ruth
88, passed May 21, 2011 peacefully at her home under the care of Hospice Inspiris. Her passing came 12 years to the day, after William Martorelli, her husband, passed over. Ruth was born June 22, 1922 in Chicago IL. She loved to craft and sew making many items for family and friends, which was a small testament to her unselfish giving life. Ruth was a beloved wife, mother of four and family member to many. Her friendships were deep and heart felt, some spanned a lifetime while others were shorter due to her passing. The friendships created by her visits to the Glendale Adult Center were among the strongest she had a thank you to all that shared the Center with her; you meant the world to her. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years William Martorelli, son Tommy Martorelli and daughter Mary Gura. However she is survived by son Robert Martorelli (Maryann), daughter Patricia Martorelli-Reed (Regis), grandchildren; Rhonda Martorelli (George), Robert Martorelli, William Gura, Shenan Lang (Craig), Joseph Martorelli (Camile), Michele Banas (Tom), Joey Martorelli, Tricia Munchalfen and eight Great Grandchildren. Ruth will be remembered and missed by all who knew her. Services will be held in Chicago followed by a private celebration of life at her home in a few weeks.
