James Shore Obituary
91, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on May 20, 2011. He was born to Herbert and Laurette Shore on July 2, 1919 in South Milwaukee, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Marcene G. Shore.Jim brought his family to AZ 56 years ago after serving 10 years in the U.S. Air Force. During his WWII military service, he was a member of the Army Air Corps 381st Bomb Group where he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. After his military service, Jim worked many years for Air Research and Sullair corporations. He was a typical member of "The Greatest Generation" being a good citizen, hard working, generous, helpful to those in need, poised to make those around him laugh plus he was a devoted husband and father. Jim is survived by his four children, Sandra A. Romero, Thomas J. Shore, Scott A. Shore and Jane E. Shore, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be private. Our family would like to thank the staff at "The Grove" in "The Terraces" campus for their professionalism and compassion in caring for our father.
