Melba Birtcher Obituary
passed away peacefully on the evening of May 26th, 2011 at the age of 81 years. Melba was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Harold; two children Kristi (Bob) Bushnell and Craig and three grandchildren, Quinnlyn, Brett and Collin Bushnell. Services will be held at 10:00a.m. Wednesday, June 1st at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale, AZ with visitation one hour prior to service.

I have very fond memories of Aunt Melba from my childhood. She was always so kind and I remember being so excited to visit her. I will miss her.

Aunt Melba was such an important part of my life for so many reasons. She was a lovely part of my childhood memories, and helped me through some very challenging adolescent issues. I would not be who I am today, had it not been for my very kind and brave Aunt Melba. She was an amazing person, and her art hangs in my home to this day. Rest in Peace my beloved Aunt Melba. I will miss Aunt Melba and the history she shared with me concerning our family. Our visits were always a treat with her keen memory and stories. She was a wonderful link to my past. I am so glad that she shared so much with me. We love her and will miss her.
