Fred was a true bodhisattva, always helping others. He was a good example for me. I also enjoyed his sense of humor. I am among the many who will miss and always remember him.

Fred taught me how to style my first bonsai tree. He has enriched my life as I'm sure he has many others.

Fred I am grateful that we have known each other over the years. As I have gotten older I have appreciated our phone calls and emails. I now live in Mexico and I appreciate hearing a familiar voice from my home state of Arizona. I am sad that we had lost our communication from time-to-time over the years because I value the time we had together.

I have always respected your commitment to America’s service men and women as well as your patriotism to America. I will endeavor to carry on for you as best I can. I admire your optimism and good nature and will endeavor to pass that forward also.

You have lived honorably and left the earth a better place for those that follow.

God Bless America and God Bless Fred Carpenter.

Forever You’re Cousin,

To Fred my dearest cousin,

I am so grateful to have you as a part of my life. You are a wonderful mentor, compassionate, patient and wise. I feel fortunate that you and I were reunited in our search for the path of enlightenment. I am also happy that you were there to guide me as I began my journey. Our time together after reuniting was a joy but much too short. I will miss you and your laughter, your humor, your stories of our family, as well as your wisdom that you shared every Sunday in Dharma Class. I wish you only the best and everlasting peace in your journey to the Pure Land.

Much love always and forever,
Rebecca Barnett
