Manglos, Clarence "Keith"
85, of Sun City West, AZ passed away on May 21, 2011. Born October 29, 1925 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, died Saturday after several years struggling with Alzheimer's. He lived a long and active life and leaves behind a legacy with his family and friends. Honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1961, he truly fit the saying "Once a Marine, always a Marine." He graduated from University of Michigan with an engineering degree and worked many years in the construction business heading up F.H. Martin Construction Company in Detroit, MI. He retired early in 1977 and moved to Walloon Lake, MI and spent years gardening and creating an exceptional lake house. Northern Michigan winters proved too much for him and his ailing wife Barb and they relocated to Sun City West, AZ in 1994 where he created another wonderful home in the desert southwest. His life journey brought him closer to God and his Lord Jesus and he found great joy in participating in the Episcopal Church in the towns he lived. He is survived by his wonderful wife of 9 years, Norma J. Manglos who brought him many years of happiness and took loving care of him; 3 son's, Kurt J. Manglos of Anaheim, CA; Stephen H. Manglos of Syracuse, NY and David M. Manglos of Austin, TX; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife of almost 50 years, Barbara Martin Manglos of Detroit, MI and his parents Frank Manglos and Ruth Manglos Decker from Grand Rapids, MI. Services will be held at 11:00 am on June 4 at Advent Episcopal Church; 13150 W Spanish Garden Dr; Sun City West, AZ 85375; (623)584-0350 on June 4, 2011 at 11:00 am.
