To the Arrabito family, We would like to thank Ed for being such a good friend and neighbor.
When we lost our baby in 2001, Ed gave us encouraging words and showed sympathy when others did not. He put his hand on mine and said: "don't worry Vinnie, it'll be ok." I didn't know him well, other than the occasionally hello when we crossed paths since he lived just two doors down, but he was always a gentleman and judging by how good of a person his son Keith is, I'm sure Ed was a great guy to all that knew him better than me.
I could not attend the viewing to pay my respects due to work obligations late that evening as well as having to spend a day out of town working the morning of the funeral, but my thoughts are with you Ed, as well as the rest of your family.
Thanks again for your friendship.

My Dearest Great Uncle Eddie

Although I don’t have as many vivid memories as everyone else I still have a few. My greatest one is the day that we took over my grandparent’s house so that you can make your famous ravioli’s. Although I was a lot younger at that time I will never forget it. My most recent memory was the afternoon that we got to spend together after we said our final goodbyes to your brother Ross. It was then you met my wife Serena for the very first time and made her feel as she was part of our family forever including her in all of your stories that you shared with us that day.

It was not to long after that my grandfather & your last remaining sibling got sick. It was so great that although you were back home in Arizona & he was in New Jersey you still made the time to check in almost weekly to check on his progress and remind him that he was going to get better and be back on his feet before he even expected to be. My mom is so lucky to have such a caring uncle that she could always talk to when she needed a few minutes to get her mind off of things.

Now that you are up above looking out for all of us I am sure you have already ran into some family members that were there to welcome you so that you can all hang out together and be together once again.

Please make sure that you say hello to my dad. Hopefully the two of you will enjoy a cigar together in honor the birth of my son Jackson William, the newest addition to our family. He was just born two weeks ago. When he is old enough I will be sure to share some memories of you with him.

Until we meet again
Please look out for us all

Life is far too short but the memories will live on forever. Seems like yesterday we were celebarting holidays, graduations, outings at the beach, and family gatherings. Thanks to you and all our parents for giving us these memories. I still feel like picking up the phone just to hear your strong and positive voice. You fought a brave and courageous battle. Dad and I and everyone else who's live you touched are surely going to miss you.

A wonderful man has left Earth and a beautiful Angel has entered Heaven. You touched a LOT of people's hearts. Everyone that new you, loved you. It truly amazed me how you were able to touch the hearts of everyone who met you...even those who were "untouchable". You definitely touchd mine and my family's hearts. We considered you like family and we are truly blessed to have had you in our lives. I wish so bad that I could make it to the services, but I will be in Houston taking care of mom for 2 more weeks. I know, Ed, you would have wanted me here taking care of her anyway, because that is just the kind and thoughtful man you are. I love you buddy and you will be missed...but NEVER forgotten!

Loving Daughter

May 31, 2011

My Dad, This is the beginning words I so often say, because you're so often on my mind.

My Dad, Is the rock that was so strong for me when I had difficult times in my life.

My Dad, was the wisdom that taught me how to succeed in life.

My Dad, was my "go to" guy for anything, anytime, no matter what.

My Dad, I will always keep a lifetime of cherished memories in my heart. The birth of my daughter, Savanna Rene, is at the top of my most "special memories" list. Having you there to welcome her into the world, and then "Vanna" smiled when she met her Pop-Pop for the very first time in her life.

Dad, I was told I had a healthy heart so why does it feel like it's so broken. I miss you every second and know that this isn't goodbye, but like you said, At the end of every phone call, bye-bye for now and my door is always open.

Dad, "My Rock", when we someday are together again, we can all celebrate making your home-made raviolis and continue sharing all of our great times together. I love you Dad, SWAK to Heaven.

May 31, 2011

Ed,
I will miss hearing your voice every morning telling me you feel great. I am so glad I was a part of your life. I am also proud to have been your "adopted" daughter. I know this isnt the end. I know you are now an angel. We will meet again. It is so hard for the people you have left here. So many people love and miss you.
Love you so much and miss you,
Your adopted daughter,
Valerie

On Memorial Day two thousand eleven, our friend Ed left us to go to heaven.
Everyone recognized him right away, with his hat of straw, black shorts, white socks, white tee short and suspenders all.
His daily stop to the mailbox, he never missed.
He worked hard at his BK job, and around the house with a very long list.
Dinners on Sunday were made by Ed, his family and friends were all well fed.
His NJ accent we loved to hear. He loved cigars and an occasional beer.
What more can be said, except we sure will miss Ed.
Mud - we love love you.

We are so sorry to hear about Uncle Eddie's passing. My Godfather was one of the best men in my life. Aunt Dolores & Uncle Eddie were always there when I needed them, especially when I was younger. One of my memories, is us sitting & watching wrestling together. Also the great smell of his cigars & his pipe. Uncle Eddie never got to meet my husband Bob. I think they would have liked each other, because they are the same in some ways. He will always be in our hearts & thoughts.

I have such fond memories of growing up on Hobart Street, and you were a great part of my life. From teaching me to walk, to lending me the money to buy my first car. We always had great times. All the cook outs and the Sundays at the lake. I will miss you dearly. Say hello to my dad as I know he was there to greet you along with my mom and brother Ross.

We were so sorry to hear of Uncle Ed’s passing. I’ll always remember when he dressed up as Santa and I said “you’re not Santa, you’re Uncle Ed.” He got mad that I recognized him. He was the only uncle to tell me to sit somewhere and don’t move and I’d still be there waiting for him to come back an hour later. I still carry the nickname he gave me when I was young – DaVinci – when we delivered fruit baskets from Esposito’s together. I will cherish my memories of him.

Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this very difficult time. He will be greatly missed.
