Michael Shotzbarger Obituary
Michael Lynn Shotzbarger, 56, passed away on Saturday May 28, 2011 at the Lund Valley Hospice Home following a battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Ann, his three daughters Jennifer, Kathryn and Samantha, his mother, two sisters and many close friends. A viewing will be held on Thursday June 2, 2011 from 5-8:00 pm at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ. The service will be Friday June 3, 2011 at 6:00 pm at Gilbert Family Church, 6935 E. Williams Field Rd., Mesa, AZ. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home (480-832-2850).

In our finite human mind, we try to make sense of the loss of a friend... We search for the why so that in some small way we can understand, but understanding is elusive. We try and find someone or something to blame and ask "why did God take our friend" - but God did not take Mike cancer did. We grieve the loss but cherish the memories of a life that was changed by the power of God.
Mike was a great friend for many years, and I will miss many things...one of the greatest will be looking over and not seeing him on the platform playing his guitar.
To Ann and the girls...the more I think about it, the more "bromance" makes sense. We remain, as always...family.
