Brown, Aron Saul
Aron S. Brown, 85, of Tempe, AZ, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 . Aron was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico on July 29th, 1925. Aron lived in the United States from 1948 until his death and became a US citizen. He attended BYU, where he received a degree in Accounting and received a master's degree in retailing at New York University. Aron had a great voice, loved singing and playing the guitar all his life. Aron worked for Marshall Fields & Company in Chicago, IL, from 1955-1972. Aron was a buyer for the linen department in Marshall Fields, and traveled frequently to Europe and South America for business. Aron moved his family to Tempe, AZ in 1972. During his early years in Arizona, Aron purchased and developed property in Cholla Bay, Mexico and bought a farm in Hermosillo, Mexico. During this time, he purchased a number of rental properties in the Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa. Aron also sold advertising for the KVVA radio station in Phoenix from 1986 though 1995. Aron was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints throughout his lifetime. He was a fortunate man who enjoyed the love and affection of three wives and their families during his life. Aron married his first wife, Jessie Whitsell Brown at the Salt Lake City LDS Temple in 1954. They were married 37 years and had two children, Bonnie Brown Ducharme of Coeur d Alene, ID and James E. Brown. Jessie preceded Aron in death in 1991 and James passed away in Chicago in January 2010. Aron was married to Elena Pratt Brown in 1992 in Mesa, AZ. Elena was a loving, caring wife to Aron until her untimely death in 2005. Her children and grandchildren continued to embrace Aron as part of their families until his death. Aron was blessed to meet and marry his third wife, Emilia Ramirez Brown in 2006. Emilia was a caring, loyal and constant companion and caretaker for Aron . Emilia, her children, and many grandchildren, brightened and enriched his life during his final years. Aron is survived by his wife Emilia, his daughter Bonnie and his many step-children and grandchildren. Service 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2011 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2707 South College Ave., Tempe, AZ. Visitation will be held 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the relief society room. Arrangements entrusted to Tempe Mortuary.
