Madeline Starkel Obituary
Madeline Ann Starkel, age 88, passed away May 30, 2011. She was born January 27, 1923 in Fort Wayne, IN to Albert and Bertha (Hipp) Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank; daughter Janet Gillum, grandson Frank Starkel and daughter-in-law Barbara Starkel. Madeline is survived by her children John Starkel, David (Sue) Starkel, Robert (Pam) Starkel and Thomas (Vicki) Starkel; grandchildren Michael, Steven (Tina), Scott (Jennifer), Melissa, Matthew and Timothy (Erin) Starkel; great grandchildren Carson and Tyler Starkel and sister-in-law Betty Winter. A gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 6 to 7 pm at Heritage Funeral Chapel 6830 W Thunderbird Rd., Peoria, AZ. A memorial service will immediately follow at 7 pm. Remembrances in Madeline's name may be given to the Maricopa County Animal Shelter, 2500 S. 27th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85009 or to any animal rescue of your choice.
