61, passed away peacefully at home in Gilbert, AZ in May, 2011. Born February 18, 1950 in Benkleman, NE, to Lyle and LaVena Moreland, moved to Boulder, CO in 1952 where she grew up graduating from Boulder HS, Class of '68. After Parks Business School in Denver, CO, she worked several years for the Denver Co. Welfare Department. When she decided that nursing was her true calling, she attended North Eastern Junior College, Sterling, CO and graduated from Mesa College in Grand Junction, CO with her Registered Nursing Degree. She worked at St. Mary's Hospital for 15 years. In 1993 she moved to Gilbert, AZ to be close to her aging mother, and worked at Banner Desert Samaritan Hospital for the last 18 years. Oma was a caring nurse and loved her family, her friends, her beloved cats, Thriller and Cayenne, and most of all life. She loved decorating her abode and believed every open space was an opportunity to apply her artistic touch. She especially loved color, the more the brighter the better, and her home and her clothes reflected this love. Oma is predeceased by her brother Keith and survived by her son Mark, daughter-in-law Jan, their son Hayden, and her two brothers, Ronald and Phillip Moreland. Memorial Services will be in August at Steamboat Lake, CO, her favorite and final resting spot. Arrangements were entrusted to At Season's End Mortuary, Apache Junction, AZ. (480)982-7721
