Roberta Lane Obituary

Lane, Roberta D.
88, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on May 26, 2011. Born in Brandamore, PA Roberta Lane was one of nine children born to Howard Davis and Anna Pauline Larson. Roberta married Lester Lane in Chester County, PA in 1942 and relocated with him for US Air Force Service assignments. Lester Lane died on Jan. 5, 1976. Roberta retired after 30 years as Office Manager for Mid-Atlantic AAA where she was recognized for professional accomplishments on many occasions. She moved to the Valley in 1995 and served as a volunteer for the gift shop at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mesa for many years. Roberta is survived by her son Douglas A. Lane and his wife Carla Roberts, with whom she lived at the time of her death. Additional survivors include daughter Nikki Helms of Montana; Grandson William Helms, Grand Daughter-in-law Heather Helms and Great Grandson Carter Helms of Phoenix, AZ; Grandson Chad Joshua Pettitt of Tucson; and one brother and sister. Private family services were held in Phoenix, Arizona. The body will be cremated and the ashes returned to PA. Samaritan Funeral Home; Phoenix, AZ handled the arrangements. Memorial gifts can be directed to Sunshine Health and Hospice Services of Mesa.
