Pantaz, Mary Irene, "Rene"
87 of Mesa, AZ passed peacefully from this world on June 2, 2011. She was born in St. Louis, MO on February 11, 1924. Rene moved to Arizona in 1961 where she began working for an employment agency. She was then hired as a technical recruiter at Goodyear Aerospace. She was the first woman to ever be hired in this position! She retired in the mid 1980's to enjoy time with family and friends. Rene is survived by her sister Vickie Reiver; brother-in-law Robert Reiver; brother Tom Pantaz; sister-in-law Nancy Pantaz. Rene has 2 nieces Tammy Reiver and Amanda Katz; and 4 nephews Mike Reiver, David Reiver, Matt Pantaz and Alex Pantaz. Rene also has an extended family that includes CJ Stone, Kenny Fasci, Anne Le, Darcee Pantaz and several grandnieces and grandnephews. Rene was loved and adored by all that knew her! A visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with a celebration of her life to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Mortuary 1562 E. Baseline Road, Mesa, Arizona 85204. Entombment to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Queen of Heaven Mortuary.

My sincere sympathy to the family of Rene Pantaz. I was actually Rene's manager at the time she retired with Goodyear Aerospace and have thought of her often over the years. She was a pioneer in the technical recruting profession and very well respected for her talents. So glad to hear she lived a long and loving life. Warmest thoughts, Cindi Miner
