There are no words to express the loss and emptiness in my heart, that I know will always be there. You are my Dad and you have never let me feel like you were anything less. You have always been there for me, even when I messed up, or made bad choices. You never made me feel like you were disappointed in me. You were the rock and strength for our entire family. Even in the last months and days you never complained. You did everything you could to hide the suffering and pain that we all could see you were going through, you continued to let us lean on you for strength. Our lives will be forever changed, without you here with us. I know you will continue to watch over us and protect us like you have always done. I love you and I take comfort in the fact that you know that. I also take comfort knowing that you no longer are suffering and that you are at peace without pain or worry.

Wow this is harder then I thought. Breaks my heart your gone. I know you won't feel pain anymore and thats a great comfort. But reading the messages breaks my heart and yes I am still crying. You were a amazing loving CRAZY person. You were one of my favorite,,, O.K. you were my favorite brother in law. Even reading the messages my girls left shows how much you were loved and will be missed by many. I'll never forget you. I don't know who else needs to take anixity pills to hang out with me.(ha ha) but I know you loved me as much as I loved you. I know Roxanne will miss her best friend more than anything. There is no words that can say the loss that is felt when an amazing person leaves. My uncle EB was a kind and generous person that could always put a smile on my face. I remember watching my first and one of my only NASCAR races with him. Comfort comes in knowing that he will no longer suffer. I love you and will miss you uncle EB rest on peace.

It's taken me time to bring myself to posting something on here. I come in the room expecting to see you in the room, but youre not there. I love you soo much. I cant fathom the fact i cant give you your goodnight kss, you were never dissapointed in me. and you were the only one I ever actually respected to the fullest extent, we wont be sharing our birthdays this year. it's hard but i know youre ok now papa. i know you're here with me in spirit. i'll never forget it all. you're a father, grandfather, and bestfriend.. to correct me when i'm wrong or laugh at my random acts of weirdness. i miss you oh so much. i promise i'll go out and beyond what you expected of me. just wait and see. i love you, always.

I have known Smilie and Roxanne for many years. We shared laughs and tears throughout the years. One thing that never changed was the deep love they had for each other. I know that love will always live on! Rest in peace and know that your wife will be okay and there are many people that care about her and will be there for her.
You will be missed...thanks for the memories and the support through the years...much love...Daryl

Smilie had a huge heart, cared for everyone he met and loved family more than words can say. Before his illness we enjoyed traveling a short trip to Laughlin or a long one to visit family. He loved camping, fishing and don't forget NASCAR. He will be missed by many. He will always be part of me, he was not just my husband, but my best friend and soulmate. God Bless, Roxanne
