Connie Dominques Obituary
90 of Mesa, AZ our beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on June 7th, 2011 on her 71st wedding anniversary. Connie was born on August 15, 1920 in Summerland, CA to Refugio and Maria Cruz. She married the love of her life Thomas Dominques on June 7, 1940 in Santa Barbara, CA. To this marriage two daughters were born Diane and LaVine. They made their home in Santa Barbara, CA until they moved to Mesa, AZ in 1980 where they enjoyed their retirement years with their daughter Diane and her family. Tom and Connie made many trips back to Santa Barbara as well as many visits to Idaho to visit their daughter LaVine and her family. Connie is survived by her daughter Diane Lucas (Gerry) of Mesa, AZ, her daughter LaVine Gardner (Dale) of Nampa, ID, brother Mardonio Cruz (Ramona) of Santa Barbara, CA. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Connie was preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas Dominques, her parents, five sisters and one brother. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Valley of the Sun Mortuary Mausoleum Chapel, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd., Chandler, AZ. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Our angel has gone to be with the Lord we will miss you so much Mom and Grandma and we love you more than words can ever express. We look so forward to the day when we can meet again in heaven.
