Alberto Martinez Obituary

Martinez, Alberto D.
passed away on June 6, 2011. Alberto was born to Orlando and Rosario Martinez in Arriaga, Chiapas, Mexico on July 14, 1943. As a young man Alberto served as a CDR, Commanding Officer in the US Navy during the Vietnam war. During his service he received a Vietnam Service Medal with two bronze stars, a Vietnam Campaign Medal, and a Navy Unit Commendation with one bronze star. He was discharged in 1968. Alberto met and married the love of his life, Ana Patricia Martinez on December 12, 1967 in Los Angeles, CA. They were married for forty years before Ana's passing in 2006. After marrying Ana, Alberto worked for Honeywell as a Chief Aircraft Mechanic for over 40 years. Alberto is preceded in death by his wife; Ana Patricia Martinez, father; Orlando Martinez, and mother; Rosario Dias Martinez. He is survived by his daughters; Monica Martinez Dell of Phoenix, AZ and Ana Ceclila Martinez Warner of Carmel , CA, grandchildren; Leigh Anne Warner, Dylan Warner, and Rohan Warner, brothers; Enoch and Fernando Martinez, and sister; Gloria Morejon, all of Los Angeles, CA. In lieu of flowers please make any donations to the American Red Cross at www.redcross.org. A Memorial Service will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 3550 E. Knox Rd. in Phoenix, AZ, on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, beginning at 9:30am. Arrangements are being held under the direction of Carr Tenney Mortuary in Tempe, AZ.
