George Purchall Obituary

Purchall, George
was born in Poland and raised in New York City. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps. He spent four years in the Army and over twenty years in the Air Force Reserve where he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He earned a B.A. in History from City College of New York. After college, he was employed by U.S. Housing and Urban Development in New York City where he rose to Assistant Regional Administrator. George left NYC in 1976 to accept a position of Director of Management in the Phoenix HUD office. He retired from HUD in 1978 and joined a Washington Consultant firm as Senior Consultant. He worked at the firm for 16 years where he took early retirement to care for his wife who was diagnosed with ALS. His interests were in books, bridge and exercise programs. He had a major interest in restoration of a Jewish Cemetery in the small town in which he was born in Poland. He will be remembered by his family, Jerry Moses, Michelle and Michael Purchall, Larry and Elizabeth Wolff and his friend, Ruth Katz. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date. Arrangements by Sinai Mortuary.

Dear George , our hearts are broken eyes filled with tears, You make a impression on our lifes, . Go Rest In HEAVEN with God. The God who gave his son Jesus for love. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ( Jhon 3;16) . We love you, We will miss you.
