Ray, it is impossible that you have left us. Your energy, humor, care for students, and love of literature inspired those of us who were lucky to work with you. And believe me, I know how many times you had my back. Your loyalty to friends was so very real. Blessings to your family. Love, Kathleen Adams

My thoughts go out to Dr. Sargent's family and loved ones. He was my English teacher for (3) years at Thunderbird and although tough and intimidating at times, he was my favorite all-time teacher! Some of my best memories of high school involved my experience in his class. He has no doubtedly touched so many lives. Rest in Peace.

He was Mr. Sargent when I had him for sophomore English. He made literature come alive. An excellent teacher who expected only the very best from his students. Many good memories. Am sorry to hear of his passing. -Janet Falaschetti Sandoval (AZ)

Dr. Sargent was such a wonderful person. I never had him as a teacher at Thunderbird, but I remember when he participated in the work-in-progress production of "The Boys of Winter" in my advanced theatre class. What a joy it was working with him. It is so sad to hear that he is no longer with us, but may be rest in peace. He will be in my thoughts and prayers.
