Beverly Keefner Obituary

Beverly J. Keefner 1930-2008 GREAT BARRINGTON Beverly J. Keefner, 78, of 31 Fairview Terrace, died Monday, April 21, 2008 at Timberlyn Heights Nursing Center. Born Feb. 10, 1930 in Tyringham, daughter of Howell P. and Jennie Mange Stanard, she was a graduate of Lee High School. She was a secretary at Clark Aiken. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, South Lee. She enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, horses, country music, animals - especially cats and dogs, and traveling with her husband. Her husband, Raymond J. Keefner, whom she married in 1981 at the First Congregational Church, died March 16, 2008. She leaves four brothers, William Stanard and Richard Stanard of South Lee, and Noel Stanard and Robert Stanard of Lee; three sisters, Donna Sommerville of Otto, N.C., Bertha Vreeland of Becket, and Shirley "Sally" Hunter of South Lee. She was predeceased by one brother, Howell F. Stanard and one sister, Jeanie Kirchner. FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service for Beverly J. Keefner, who died April 21, 2008, will be held on Thursday, April 24, at 11 a.m. in Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Stanley Woolley officiating. There are no calling hours. A memorial service for Beverly will be held at a later date in June to be announced at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Expressions of sympathy in Beverly's memory may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd or to Hospice of Western Mass., both in care of the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230, who is in charge of arrangements.

I use to work with Bev back in the 60's at Clark-Aiken. My deepest sympathy to all of Bev's family.
