Dear Pam & Kathy..
The years have fleeted so quickly.,. but I do remember you as my favorite cousins back in Cheshire.. Last time I saw you Kathy was in Florida..
Betty was in shock as she stopped by to visit your Mother on Saturday.. a lovely neighbor told her Mary had passed last week.
She has gone home to rest.. to join her family also, your Dad.
Mary was always so gracious & careing for us all.
Could you when you have time write to my e-mail address.

Mary was married to my first cousin Arthur.. and we all had such great times back in Cheshire.. she was also Betty's and my shool teacher.. I know in your hearts she will be greatly missed .. with her love, going forward to each of her family.. I know how very thankful you all are for having such a super Mom,Mother in-law but most of all a fun, loveing grandmother..
Richardson & Dean St.. will carry on as she did for these many blessed years..

To everyone in Mary's family,
We were very surprised to learn, belatedly, of Mary's death, and extremely distressed that we did not attend Mary's funeral last week. I loved to visit with Mary, bring her vegetables and fruit from my garden, and take care of her flowers- they gave her so much pleasure. She and I spent many a summer's late afternoon on her back porch, drinking wine, smoking, and talking about the Red Sox, politics and books. (Doris Kearns Goodwin's biographies were some of her favorites.) My husband Jim and our children were pressed into service each spring and fall to install and remove her air conditioners, and Jim always helped Mary whenever she needed him. Although Mary always tried to pay us, we never wanted to take her money because we liked her as a neighbor and as a friend and we were glad to be of help whenever called upon.
We will always remember Mary and we will miss her presence "on the corner" of Dean and Richmond Streets.

I have such pleasant memories of the Flanagan family. I am saddened by the loss of a friend; your mother, your sister, your aunt.
I am truly sorry.
Sincerely,
Rosemary Marshall Messer

It was so sad to hear that Mrs. Flanagan passed away. I had her as a first grade teacher in Cheshire elementary school. She will be missed by all the people she touched.
