My thoughts and prayers go out to the Kelly family, especially Shelia. Thanks for contacting me. I tried to rearrange my work schedule to attend the funeral, but couldn't.
Even though Anne was 2 years ahead of me in school, I got to know her quite well when we both played softball in Pittsfield with Percy and a lot of othe great teammates.
Anne and I have been in touch via email for over a year. I was hoping to see her at the Final Four, but she was too ill to make it. I met two of her Florida friends and Anne had sent pictures along with them.
I was planning on seeing her in Tampa at the Final Four in April, but it is not to be.
Kell, you will be missed by all who knew you.

To the family of Anne Kelly: Even though she was two years ahead of me in school, I got to know Anne quite well when the two of us played on a softball team in Pittsfield, MA with Percy. We have been in touch via email the past year or so.
I was hoping to see her at the Final Four, but she was too ill to make it. I did connect with two of her friends from Florida and saw pictures she had sent along. I sent one back to her. I will miss her emails and was hoping to see her in April when I go to the Final Four in Tampa, but it was not to be. Sorry I couldn't attend her funeral - couldn't rearrange my work schedule.
Shelia - thanks for contacting me.

Anne overcame so many obstacles in her early life, and lived the rest of her life giving to others. She told me people named her house "The Happy House", and that was, indeed, true. There was no sadness--only good thoughts, and genuine caring for others.
Her positive outlook will continue to inspire others, I am sure. God bless her.
