I wish to extend my sincere sympathy and prayers to the family of Helen. She and her Father , Anthony, her brother , Robert and his wife, Gerri were most helpful to me in my first assignment as a Parochial Assistant in St. James the Greater Church , Wellesley( 1951-1953). She was a wonderful organist and her father Anthony and her brother, Robert and his wife were faithful members of the choir which I directed while there. They all brought a marvelous spirit and talent to the choir especially when we sang Bach Chorales at Sunday Mass. I remember them fondly. Robert was a dear friend to my classmate , Fr. Henry Sims from Portland Maine. God Bless Helen and her wonderful family who have gone to the Lord.

To the Family of Helen Amendola,
I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Miss Amendola was my piano teacher many years ago, back in the early 1960's. I lived at 12 New Hampshire Ave. and it was so easy to just walk across the street to my lessons. Admittedly, I was not the best of students, but Miss Amendola never gave up on me. I also remember her father; the children on the street used to run up to Rte. 9 to meet him when he got off the bus from work. In the summertime, he used to give us loose change if we would pick the rosebugs off of his roses.
I am grateful for these wonderful memories. The world is diminished by the loss of both Miss Amendola and her father.
My sympathies to all your family.
