Fillmore Cannon Obituary

Age 91, of Cohasset, formerly of Chicago, New York City, and Maine. Survived by his former wife, Jean Cannon of Newport, RI, his children, Tom Jay Cannon of Boulder, CO, Carol Anne Cannon of Astoria, NY, Joanne Cannon Hill and her husband Roger Quentin Hill of Cohasset. Grandfather of Orion, Forest, and Anicha Cannon of Boulder, CO, and Quentin Roger Hill of Cohasset. Also survived by one great grandchild, Rowyn O'Connor of Boulder, CO, and nieces, Alice Thomas of Nashville, TN, and Van Calloway of Wayland, TN. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 5 at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 16 Highland Ave, Cohasset. Visiting hours Friday 5-8 p.m. at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony's Church), COHASSET. 1st Lieutenant, U.S. Army, WWII. Fillmore was an excellent draftsman and excelled as an art director in the Manhattan advertising world. He was instrumental in organizing the Seagram's Design 375 and later handled freelance accounts for Revlon, Bic and other major brands. He was also a talented artist. Mr. Cannon,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. and to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
